Bacchus 2019 - 6 Bottle ALLOCATION

  • Our very limited special edition is a fine example of a single vineyard Bacchus.

  • Fermented in big format German oak barrels, Spanish chestnut barrels and Italian terracotta egg with a 124 years old yeast; called 'Sleeping Beauty'.

  • Olly Smith: England meets Sancerre in this chiselled luxuriant liquid excellence.
  • Dr. Jamie Goode:  A special Bacchus that is fermented in large format German oak, Spanish chestnut barrels and an Italian terracotta egg. It’s really bright and vivid with keen acidity underpinning floral blackcurrant, lime and cherry fruit (even though it is white). There’s a lovely texture to this wine, which offsets the high acid.
  • Winemakers Notes: Clear and bright, characterful nose with aromas of elderflower, white peach, cumquat and lemon zest. A complex palate with lime-citrus, stone fruits and hints of tropical fruit. Fresh acidity balanced with an extremely generous mouth feel and minerality. Scented precision in a moreish & lingering international style.
